Welcome to May Park Primary School — a warm, inclusive school at the heart of our richly diverse community. We celebrate the many languages, cultures and life experiences that every pupil, family and member of staff brings. Here, every child is welcomed, seen and valued; difference is celebrated and used as a strength for learning.
Our values — Respect, Resilience, Curiosity, Achievement, Equality and Creativity — are lived every day. They shape our classrooms, assemblies and playgrounds and help pupils become confident, responsible and compassionate young people. We ensure children experience a broad, knowledge-rich curriculum, excellent early years provision and high-quality teaching so they can flourish academically and personally.
Staff at May Park care deeply about pupils’ well‑being. We build strong, trusting relationships with families and with our Trust partners in Excalibur, ensuring smooth transitions for pupils (including pathways to St John’s Marlborough) and access to wider learning opportunities. We provide supportive pastoral systems, enrichment activities and celebration moments — weekly certificates, “caught in the act” praise, and sharing successes with parents on ClassDojo — so every child’s progress and character are recognised.
Pupils learn to be kind, to speak up for fairness, to take responsibility and to keep themselves and others safe. We encourage curiosity, creativity and ambition in every classroom. Together, our school community learns from one another, supports one another and builds friendships across cultures and backgrounds.
British Values
What are British Values?
As of 2014, the Department for Education published guidance stating that all schools have a duty to actively promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
These are linked to our school values and are promoted through so much of what we do including assemblies and the PSHE curriculum.

Our school values align and work in partnership with the expectations we hold for all pupils. These three expectations are:
We belong to May Park
– We are kind
– We are respectful
– We are learning
Our 6 Values are:
- Respect
- Resilience
- Curiosity
- Achievement
- Equality
- Creativity
