May Park Primary School values are integral to the ethos of the school. They underpin our teaching and learning and are fundamental in providing an environment that prepares our pupils to become confident and responsible individuals. Individuals who have a desire to keep building on everything they learn. They are the principles that guide our lives, the set of tools that help us make difficult choices as we grow.
Each value is looked at in depth for a term. This helps us all to understand what each value stands for, what it looks like in ourselves and in others wherever we may be. The teaching of values takes place in class and in assemblies. We celebrate how people show values through; certificates in weekly assemblies, caught in the act cards from staff and by sharing with parents on Classdojo.
Our school values align and work in partnership with the expectations we hold for all pupils. These three expectations are to:
Be Respectful – learn how to be empathetic and kind
Be Responsible – learn how to take responsibility for their own actions
Be Safe – learn how to keep themselves and others safe
Our 6 Values are:
- Respect
- Resilience
- Curiosity
- Achievement
- Equality
- Creativity
